Bioanalytical Chemistry Lab (China University of Geoscience, Wuhan) has 21 faculty members in total, 12 full professors and 9 associate professors.
The overarching research goal of our lab is to explore fundamental chemistry events in life, as well as biochemistry events and life regulations in the living body. Specifically, our lab develops fluorescent probes employing small molecules, nucleic acids, polypeptide etc., in support for the real-time, in situ monitoring of the life activities. Another research area of our lab focuses on the development of biosensor platform for early diagnostic of cancer diseases based on nanopore and surface wetting techniques. Such sensing platform employing “supersandwich DNA” structure enables sensitive, rapid, selective detection in the complex media, such as in the organ, urine and tissue samples, without any sample pretreatment.
