主要致力于药物/基因控制释放载体的探索以及药物/基因在肿瘤治疗和骨缺损修复等方面的应用研究。在国外知名学术期刊上共发表31篇第一作者或通讯作者SCI论文，其中包括Nature Communications（1篇）、Biomaterials（1篇）、Macromolecules（3篇）、Macromolecular Rapid Communications（6篇）、Theranostics（1篇）、ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces（1篇）、Advanced Healthcare Materials（1篇）、Journal of Catalysis（1篇）、Nanotechnology（3篇）、RSC Advances（2篇）。目前是Nature Communications、ACS Nano、Journal of Controlled Release、Macromolecules、RSC Advances等多个国际期刊的特邀审稿人，授权中国发明专利两项和申请美国发明专利一项。
